Teaching Pro and Owner
Wayne Tran is Certified with Tennis Canada and is actively competing in OTA tournaments. He has a passion for the sport of tennis and loves to instill the same desire to his students. Wayne also has a background teaching martial arts and computer programming for kids. When not playing tennis, he holds a full time job as a Software Engineer and enjoys playing the guitar.
We offer structured group and private lessons for all ages to develop your skills and win more matches. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to book lessons. Rates have court fees included!
Here at the Tran Tennis Academy, we strive to cultivate the passion for tennis with our beginner students. We accomplish this by introducing them to real tennis tactics early with the use of appropriately sized equipment and courts recommended by Tennis Canada and the ITF.
Once the student reaches certain milestones in play ability and maturity, we incrementally introduce more tools to help improve athleticism, stroke efficiency and mental toughness in order to win more matches and tournaments.
We believe the key to tennis success is through athleticism, footwork and sound tactics driven by an inner fire to improve and compete. The traditional method of finding that "perfect forehand” through endless ball feeding is not as effective in winning matches. Learning occurs best when it is fun and the technique makes sense in the context of gameplay.
Space is limited. Please contact email@example.com if you are interested in any of the programs below.
Junior Level 1 (beginner)
This is the first level with regular tennis balls. This group lesson is for kids who have played tennis before but does not yet have the consistency necessary for competitive play. Foundational skills are taught with an emphasis on proper techique, and footwork for consistency.
Junior Level 2 (intermediate)
Players in this group have good fundamentals and can maintain a medium pace ball for 20+ shots but lack the weapons and tactics to be competitive in OTA tournaments. Attacking tennis and shot selection is emphasized to help the player get to the next level.
Junior Competitive 1
Players in this group are starting to play OTA rookie tour tournaments. Consistency and Tactics are emphasize to ensure progression as a successful tournament player.
Junior Competitive 2
Players in this group are starting to play OTA transition tour tournaments and or have at least a year of OTA tournament play. Physical condition, footwork and mental training are added to enhance competitive play.
Players in this group have success in provincial and national level tournaments with a goal of college scholarships or professional tennis. An intense program focusing on specific needs of each individual along with competitive play will prepare players for the rigors and international and higher level tournaments.
The best way to improve your game. Private lessons are customized to strengthen your weaknesses, and sharpen your weapons.
